Arco da Calheta is a town in the municipality of Calheta, known for its calm, beautiful houses and excellent sun exposure. This is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday away from the urban centres. This rustic, stone-walled house has been completely renovated to give it a new lease of life and comfort, making it the ideal choice for a family holiday. With a pleasant space and decor to match the country atmosphere, the villa is divided into two floors. On the ground floor you'll find a comfortable living room, a shared bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook your favourite dishes. From this floor you have access to the outdoor patio which is equipped with a barbecue area, a leisure area and a private swimming pool. On the upper floor you'll find the sleeping area, with two bedrooms: one with a double bed and an en suite bathroom with shower. The second bedroom has two single beds and an en suite bathroom with shower. The swimming pool has a special feature: it is treated with salt, giving it a more natural, seaside feel. For your thermal comfort, the house is equipped with air conditioning. It also has a parking space. The property has a maximum capacity for four people. AREA Situated on the west side, this house is in the area with the most sun exposure on Madeira Island. A 5-minute drive will take you to the centre of Calheta, where you'll find the yellow sand beach, several restaurants and a supermarket. Calheta is home to the Museum of Contemporary Art, a fantastic piece of architecture. Jardim do Mar and Paúl do Mar are about 10 minutes away by car. These two small villages offer their own beach, entertainment and beauty. Nearby, you'll find small restaurants and grocery shops. PROPERTY RULES To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, we ask that you observe a few simple rules. • Smoking is not permitted inside the property. A fine of €300 will be charged for non-compliance. • Parties or events are not permitted. • Pets are not permitted. • Please be considerate of your neighbours and keep noise levels down, especially at night. The property may be equipped with a smart sensor (Minut) that monitors noise, smoke and temperature levels, solely for safety reasons. This system does not record conversations or collect personal data. Should abnormal levels be detected, a member of our team may contact you. You are not permitted to disable, cover or tamper this or any other equipment installed on the property. In accordance with Portuguese law, all guests must present valid identification for registration purposes. Municipal tourist tax (when applicable): €2.00 per person/night for guests aged 13 and above, up to a maximum of 7 nights (€14.00 per person per stay). A payment link will be sent prior to arrival. Check-in must be scheduled in advance. If it is not arranged at least 48 hours beforehand, check-in will be subject to our team’s availability. Check-in: from 16:00 | Check-out: by 12:00 Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and an additional charge. By confirming your reservation, all guests agree to our house rules and accommodation conditions. OTHER NOTES All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide, free of charge, a baby travel crib, high chair and baby bath upon request before check-in. Requests made less than 48 hours before arrival may be subject to an additional fee. All properties are equipped with a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and a fire blanket. For stays of 8 nights or more, a mid-stay service is provided, including the replenishment of bed linen, towels and consumables only. This service is not included for shorter stays. Additional cleaning services during your stay are available on request at an extra charge.
