On the entrance floor of this typically Madeiran house, you will find an open-plan living and dining room, access to the kitchen, and a suite with a double bed, private bathroom with shower, and a single sofa bed. Access to the upper floor is via a spiral staircase. On this level, there is an office area, a bathroom with shower, and a bedroom with two single beds, which gives access to a nice balcony. The architecture and stone walls are typical of the area, making the rural experience even more authentic. The quiet atmosphere allows you to enjoy the chirping of birds in a private grass garden. The outdoor dining area connects to a cultivated area with fruit trees accessible to guests, including vines, lemon, anone, and tangerine trees, as well as yams, spinach, and other plants and flowers. This house is close to Levada dos Canhas and a few minutes away from Madalena do Mar, a town well known for paragliding and where you can find a beach, bars and restaurants with fresh fish. Very close to this property you will find mini markets and some bars. Canhas is about 30 minutes drive from the center of Funchal. If you choose to go to the Funchal centre, take the opportunity to explore the city and find out more information about all sorts of activities you can do during your holiday: cultural activities, radical activities, nature related activities... whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island! PROPERTY RULES To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, we ask that you observe a few simple rules. • Smoking is not permitted inside the property. A fine of €300 will be charged for non-compliance. • Parties or events are not permitted. • Pets are not permitted. • Please be considerate of your neighbours and keep noise levels down, especially at night. The property may be equipped with a smart sensor (Minut) that monitors noise, smoke and temperature levels, solely for safety reasons. This system does not record conversations or collect personal data. Should abnormal levels be detected, a member of our team may contact you. You are not permitted to disable, cover or tamper this or any other equipment installed on the property. In accordance with Portuguese law, all guests must present valid identification for registration purposes. Municipal tourist tax (when applicable): €2.00 per person/night for guests aged 13 and above, up to a maximum of 7 nights (€14.00 per person per stay). A payment link will be sent prior to arrival. Check-in must be scheduled in advance. If it is not arranged at least 48 hours beforehand, check-in will be subject to our team’s availability. Check-in: from 16:00 | Check-out: by 12:00 Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and an additional charge. By confirming your reservation, all guests agree to our house rules and accommodation conditions. OTHER NOTES All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide, free of charge, a baby travel crib, high chair and baby bath upon request before check-in. Requests made less than 48 hours before arrival may be subject to an additional fee. All properties are equipped with a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and a fire blanket. For stays of 8 nights or more, a mid-stay service is provided, including the replenishment of bed linen, towels and consumables only. This service is not included for shorter stays.
