Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Die Unterkunft war angenehm ruhig und bot eine tolle Aussicht auf Funchal. Alles war genau wie beschrieben und auf den Bildern zu sehen. Die Gastgeber waren sehr hilfsbereit und jederzeit schnell erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Positive: Would recommend this place to anyone..just so special with real character 🥰 The quaint old self contained property stone built with beautiful flowers outside.. Lovely and safe gated property. Peaceful country area.. secluded and tranquil.. The outdoor space.. new sun beds.. chairs.. totally private and quiet. Mezzanine bedroom and door to the outside.. just super.. Kitchenette so handy.. new kettle toaster.. coffee machine. Coffee snd filters left under the counter..New fridge freezer.. old kitchen painted up and looking good. We felt very sad leaving... 😔 The owners messaged and checked we had everthing... they responded really quickly.. Looking at previous reviews.. any negative feedback has been actioned... wooden sauce spoons replaced with plastic.. electric heaters in case central heating issues.. etc Negative: Although the bathroom does need renovating as per previous reviews, it was clean and totally acceptable. I'm sure the owners will get to when they can. It will mean taking the whole room apart hence a big job. The Internet was a bit unreliable on our first night... I switched the whole thing off at the wall, waited 5 minutes and we had no more issues for the week..

Positive: I loved the cottage! The look, the vibe, nature, the area. Absolutely beautiful. Very aesthetically pleasing. It’s a place I’d love to live! The drive up and down the steep hill everyday was an adventure. A place I’d actually love to live if I lived in Madiera. Great parking and living area and kitchen also! Lots of space! Negative: Sadly the cottage was very hot and stuffy and the bed was not comfortable. We had bad sleeps every night over heating and we could not open the windows because the mosquitos would get in. We felt exhausted our whole trip because we could not get a good nights rest. We did ask about an air conditioner or fan but the host said it wasn’t needed because the mountains are cool. The shower was also so cold. I only managed to get 2 very rushed hot showers and my husband got 3 during our week stay. We tried to let the water warm up for 5 plus minutes of running the water but it just never warmed. It also felt wasteful trying to run the water to get it hot. So not only did we feel tired our whole trip, we never gelt fully clean because we took freezing showers or chose not to shower because it was so cold. Good thing I brought baby wipes to help. Also, the dogs in the area howl all night. I thought being on the country side would help the area be more quiet. We love dogs but I think after hot bad sleeping feeling uncomfortable from cold showers we were left feeling cranky and tired. I wanted to badly to love this whimsical cottage. It looks beautiful but it’s not actually comfortable to stay. If you are going to stay for a few nights it may be okay. But not for a week plus. Also, if you are from a hot country and are used to no AC you might be just fine. If you’re from a colder climate like us, I would avoid staying here.

Il soggiorno è stato ottimale, é fuori dal centro città che si raggiunge comunque rapidamente in 12 minuti di auto. Il sentiero di ingresso è abbastanza stretto e serve dare attenzione per non graffiare l’auto. All’interno l’alloggio é come indicato, confortevole con tutto ciò che serve. Unica pecca la pulizia che al nostro arrivo non é stata del tutto impeccabile. Nel complesso il posto è bello, accogliente e sono soddisfatto
