An exquisite apartment in a perfect location for those who want to explore the city without any plans or concerns.
Lovers of movement and city life will love this charming and refined studio, located in the heart of Funchal. Its interior space has been maximised to offer the utmost comfort, combined with modern and tasteful décor, meeting all your expectations. The flat has two single beds, bathroom with shower and an equipped kitchenette. The property is fully equipped to make you feel at home! THE NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW Guests have easy access to several restaurants (there is a small cafe just outside the building), shops, shopping centre and supermarket. This flat is situated very close to the famous Farmers’ Market (Mercado dos Lavradores), the historic centre of Funchal (locally known as ‘Zona Velha’) and the Cathedral. From here you can explore by foot many of the main tourist attractions of our beautiful town. (e.g. The Cable Car, Funchal Marina, CR7 Museum, Madeira Wine Lodge, etc ...) Barreirinha Beach is about twenty minutes' walk away, where you can relax and dip into the crystal clear waters of the island. GETTING AROUND Although a aerobus bus stop for airport arrivals and departures is within four minutes walk distance from the flat, we recommend the private transfer service as the best option to get there. Contact us in advance to schedule a private transfer car with our local partners. It is cheaper than taking a taxi by your own in the airport! GUEST ACCESS Guests have access to all areas of the flat. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS We are always at your disposal to help or to answer your questions. You can contact us via our mobile numbers or by email. We will do our best to meet your requests. OTHER OBSERVATIONS - According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (E.g. passport, identity card). - Check-in must be scheduled in advance. In case the check-in is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours prior arrival, guests will be subject to the availability of our team. - All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide a crib, a baby high chair and a baby bathtub if needed. First aid kit, fire extinguisher and fire blanket are available in all properties. ATTENTION Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. Positive: Die Lage ist sooo gut! Direkt in Hafennähe und der Markt und die Einkaufsstrasse sind gleich um die Ecke aber es ist dennoch erstaunlich ruhig (sofern die Nachbarn keine Kinder haben die nachts wild durch die Wohnung springen). Es ist wirklich alles da was man braucht. Das Zimmer ist sehr klein aber das hat mich gar nicht gestört. Man hält sich ja eh nicht so lange dort auf. Natürlich ist alles schon etwas abgewohnt aber es wird sich trotzdem viel Mühe gegeben alles sehr sauber zu halten. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis war super was aber wahrscheinlich an der Baustelle neben der Wohnung lag. Ich würde aber auf jeden Fall nochmal hier übernachten weil die Lage mich so sehr überzeugt hat wenn man nur mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln und Touren unterwegs ist. Negative: Über die Baustelle wurde ich im Vorfeld informiert. Die Arbeiter kamen so gegen 8 und gingen wieder gegen 17:30 Uhr. Alles kein Ding aber was mich etwas gestört hat, war die Tatsache, dass man auf den Bildern der Wohnung noch einen kleinen Meerblick sieht aber genau in der Zeit wo ich dort war, wurde dieser komplett zugebaut. Man hat jetzt noch einen Blick in die andere Richtung aber das neue Haus ist dann wirklich so direkt schräg daneben dass man seine Nachbarn sehr sehr nah hat. Was auch nicht ideal lief war die Schlüsselübergabe. Ich hatte im Vorfeld einen Türcode sowie einen Code für den Schlüsselkasten bekommen. Ich kam auch easy ins Gebäude aber es war kein Schlüssel im Schlüsselkasten. Es hiess man solle anrufen aber es ist nie jemand ans Telefon gegangen. Nach einer Weile warten kam ein sehr mürrischer Herr, der so gar keinen Bock hatte, dass ich da jetzt da bin aber mir dann trotzdem einen Schlüssel gegeben hat. Also an dem System muss man noch arbeiten. Wozu die Schlüsselboxen mit Code wenn man dann keinen Schlüssel reinpackt also das war keine gute Ankunft und man fühlte sich überhaupt nicht willkommen.

Positive: First of all, the location is excellent, and the host is very responsive. We communicated via WhatsApp and always received quick and clear replies to all our questions. During our stay, there was a small issue with the bathroom sink. A service technician was called and resolved the problem the very next day. We also asked for an extra towel and were given a full set of towels, which was very pleasant and appreciated. The apartment is clean and well maintained. The bed linen is fresh and clean. The beds are comfortable, the mattresses are firm, nothing wobbles or squeaks. The windows are of good quality: when they are closed, the room is quiet and street noise is not noticeable. Overall, the apartment has everything needed for a comfortable stay. I would be happy to return again and will definitely recommend these apartments to others. Negative: Below are a few small notes — not as criticism, but rather as suggestions to improve the service and to inform future guests about some minor details. A clock in the room would be very helpful. It is a small thing, but quite convenient. It would be nice to have a throw or bedspread for the bed, as it is not very hygienic to lie on the bed in outdoor clothes after coming in from outside. In the kitchen, hooks for kitchen towels are missing. A lid for the frying pan would also be useful. In the bathroom, it would be very helpful to add a long towel rail for drying towels or swimming trunks (swimsuit) — for example, under the sink or on the wall. A shoehorn would also be a useful addition. For those planning to cook at home: the kitchen sink is quite small, while the faucet is large and positioned close to the edge. As a result, water tends to splash around when washing dishes. A smaller faucet would help. This was probably the most noticeable inconvenience, but it is not critical. All these points are minor details and do not affect the overall positive impression.
